We have enjoyed self-catering holidays over many years, in Scotland and around the world, from family gatherings to smaller groups of two or four. In the Hayloft we have tried to bring together all that we have loved in these places to provide the escape that a holiday should bring. The conversion provides stylish surroundings, while maintaining the rustic charm of the original building. The Hayloft provides luxury and warmth, a sanctuary for relaxing, inside and out.

The Hayloft has a double bedroom with en-suite toilet and wash hand basin. There are two bedside tables and a wardrobe and soft Egyptian linen. The twin room has two single beds and a large cupboard for clothes.

The Bathroom has a large bath with centre taps and an over bath shower.

Light streams into the principle living space, which accommodates the Lounge, Kitchen and Dining area. The high ceiling and exposed original timber beams create an impressive and airy space to relax and enjoy views of the Pentland Hills to the South. There is a wood burning stove, which heats the room well in the colder months.

We have integrated the work of local glass artist, Scott Irvine into the walls of the Sitting Room and we can provide details of where you can purchase his work as a memento of your holiday.

We are also displaying paintings by Edinburgh artist, Jen Collee with tweed and velvet soft furnishings by Jane Forbes from Glasgow.
